In Bloom

One of my blogger besties, Jen of her waise choice recently blogged about her "go-to" silhouette.  I love a girl who loves a high-waist (a-line) skirt and fitted blouse combo.  Jen wears this silhouette so perfectly.  The proportions always look so flattering on her.  What can I say, she's a girl with impeccable style!  I'd love to raid her closet, but first I'd have to lose a bajillion lb's.

I too, adore a high-waist skirt and I think it suits my body type quite nicely.  Some may think full circle skirt would only accentuate your curves, but when you find the perfect one, it can do wonders to your shape!   I opted to put together this gorgeous rosette skirt with a looser fitting blouse, and I'm totally happy with the pairing. :)  Btw, did you notice my locks?  I cut off close to 10".  What a load off.  Literally!  Hope you all are having a great week, so far!

Don't you love this ribbon & pearl bracelet?  The lovely Carolina gifted it to me (thanks, love!).  She recently opened up an Etsy shop, L♥VECOCO so check it out and you can get one of these gorgeous bracelets for yourself.

Stripes & Leopard

Today was the last day of the semester! Yippee!  Summer has officially begun. Super stoked.

I received this adorable dress from a lovely online boutique called Conversation Pieces (thanks Audrey!).  You would think I'm a fool to sport a bold horizontal stripe with such a shapely figure, but I think this dress flatters my figure just fine. Don't you? (you can be honest, I won't hate you, hehe.)  I love the bold stripe and the tank style definitely helps me beat the Lahaina heat!  I couldn't resist pairing the dress with my trusty leopard flats.  Stripes and leopard are one of my favorite combos.  Surely this dress will be well loved and worn during the summer.  Although this dress is no longer available on CP's website, there are so many other great choices.  Head on over and stock up on adorable little numbers for the summer!!  Thanks again, Audrey (and the rest of the gang at Conversation Pieces).

Black Roses

♫Whatever happen to my garden of black roses....♫  What a throwback to the early 90's. Whenever I hear this song, I think of my Sister (when she was in high school) and her friend's blasting the Inner Circle tune while hanging out in her bedroom.  I would annoyingly knock at her door, begging her to let me come in, to hang out.  Of course, she never would.  Yes, I was that annoying little sister that wanted to do/be/copy everything her older sister did.  In a lot of ways, I'm still the little sister that's wants to be just like her.  She's an amazing woman who's accomplished amazing things and who I admire so much. :)

On a sartorial note, isn't this outfit in full bloom?!  Perhaps there is a little too much going on, but I think that's what I love most about it.  Floral explosion!  I was eyeing these J. Brand floral skinnies and also these, but I couldn't justify dropping a nice chunk of change on such a trendy piece.  Then one day while browsing in a local boutique I saw these floral skinnies.  They were the last one and in my size, plus they were such a steal, so I had to get them.  I'm super glad I did.  These babies will definitely be in heavy rotation... or at least until the heat can no longer be beat.  What pieces are you currently swooning for?

Bits & pieces

The days are becoming less stressful... and that means it's the first sign of Summer approaching.  I can't wait for the Summer!!  Lots of fun things planned and hopefully an off island adventure.  I've been slacking with my outfit posts as of late, but I've got some lined up for next week. Yippee.  For now, thought I'd share some Instagram pics.  Have you followed me yet?  If not, come on over!  You can follow me on Instagram, @elisharon.

Have fun soaking up the rest of the weekend.  Muah.

Conception

Hey guys! Sorry for being M.I.A.  I've been nursing a cold for about a week, but thankful that I've been getting the rest my body deserves.

As promised here are a few (22 to be exact) photos from the fashion show.  I really do love the collection that the Pirate and I created.  I love everything about it.  The simple and clean feminine silhouettes mixed in with edgy elements like spikes, studs, and leather is the perfect mix of EliSharon.  So without further ado, I present our collection, FIRST: a student designer showcase by Elisha & Sharon Clemons.  Enjoy!

Whew...

Whew!  The past few weeks have been a whirlwind of fun.  To say that I've been busy, would be an understatement.  Our UH Maui College Fashion Technology student designer spring fashion show; MUSE{ic} was this past Saturday.  After a few hundred cups of coffee and a lot of sleepless nights,  the Pirate and I created an 11 look collection that we can truly say that we're proud of.  Sure, there are things about our collection that we would want to tweak, add, change, and edit, but overall, we are happy.  :)  We had a lot of help with last minute adjustments and we are so thankful for everyone that was involved with the process.  Our fashion program has a stellar team of individuals who are so dedicated (hi! MJ and Koa, thank you so much!) and our program director, Cheryl has been so influential and our guiding light through it all.  I'll be posting a few photos of our collection later this week.  I posted a few sneak peeks on Instagram, so to check those out, follow me @elisharon.

Yesterday, the Pirate took me to a celebratory lunch at The Plantation House.  It's always a nice treat to dine there.  The views are always breathtaking and it always feels like it's at least 10 degrees cooler than Lahaina town, which was nice, since the weather here has already begun to heat up.  Cheers to ELISHARON!

Night Walk

Hi guys. Decided to step away from my up-all-night-because-I-always-wait-until-the-last-minute-sewing-sesh for a brief moment, so that I could share something rad with you all.  The Pirate surprised me with these bad-ass shoes.  The Jeffrey Campbell Night Walk.  I had to wear them right away, so they made their debut while we went for a quick market run earlier this evening.

Alright back to the work room...
